Cross Country Trip #10 Day#4, Amarillo, Texas April 18, 2019

We’ve had a great deal of wind to deal with today but the sun is shining and that’s always good! This time of year we’ve learned to keep track of the weather and rely on the NOAA Weather Radar Live weather tracker which we downloaded on our first cross country trip. This helps us to keep track of the weather ahead of us and change our plans if the weather changes. Anyone just starting out, trust us, it’ll be one of your go to Aps!

We’ve put in 307 miles today and we’re heading for a small campground we found in Passport America on one of our first trips, AOK Camper Park. They “specialize in overnight sites for the weary” with water and electric hookups, a dump station and can accommodate up to 45’ RV +slides and tow cars. No frills, but clean, quiet and did I say great neighbors…

God Bless Texas!
